TriFinance is an independent international growth company in finance and control with more than 500 employees. The company was founded in 2002 and has offices in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Louvain-la-Neuve, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Düsseldorf. The company operates in the SME sector, within financial institutions und insurance companies, in the public as well as the non-profit sector. TriFinance has competence centers in controlling and reporting, accounting and consolidation, treasury and working capital management, risk and process management, talent and change management, mergers and acquisitions, back & middle offices. TriFinance consultants are not satisfied until the solution is successfully implemented and working efficiently and effectively.
And this is exactly where TriFinance and Expense Reduction Analysts meet. In order to reduce its overhead spending, TriFinance assigned Expense Reduction Analysts to analyze office supplies, telecommunication, car fuel and telecommunication costs. The spend for fuel for any of the 350 cars was significant and gradually rising with the market price. As a first step, Expense Reduction Analysts analyzed the client‘s requirements where a balance between costs and network reach had to be reached. Initially two complementary suppliers were selected, but TriFinance wisely chose to minimize administrative complexity by going forward with one single national fuel supplier, that also provided online spend control and card replacement facilities.
For office supplies TriFinance already reached a good average spend per FTE, but was still supplied by 3 different companies. Expense Reduction Analysts prepared a tender with the result that the supplier base could be reduced to two. Both suppliers were new and were specialist in its own field of general and IT-related office supplies. Through this tender, TriFinance reduced certain costs by more than 40%.
For an organization as that of TriFinance, telecommunication costs are an important expense category. Both land line and mobile Telecommunication facilities had been provided by the same supplier. After negotiating improved land line conditions with the existing provider Expense Reduction Analysts advised TriFinance to change to a new supplier for mobile communication. Also here important savings were reached.
